Windsor Castle, 900 years of uninterrupted royal history
Only 30 minutes away by fast train, Windsor Castle is the ultimate monument of English tradition, and was the Queen's favourite London residence and the longest and largest inhabited castle in the country which has belonged to our monarchs for 900 years and covers an area of 26 acres. More often than not, the Queen would spend her weekends at Windsor Castle and this tour can be included as a half day tour quite easily. We can extend the day for a walking tour to nearby Eton College.

- A view from the outside of the Queen’s Royal apartments guarded by the Foot Guards of the Household Division.
- Changing of the Guard Ceremony on certain days.
- From the North terrace, you will see Eton College where Prince William and Harry went to school.
- The luxurious State Apartments with its massive chandeliers, antique Flemish tapestries, richly carved woodwork and paintings by such artists as Van Dyck and Rubens.
- An absolute highlight is Queen Mary’s Dolls House, made for Queen Mary with its intricate craftsmanship and beautiful architecture. It contains 1000 works of art, has running water and working electricity.

- Inside St George’s Chapel we will spot many royal tombs, including Henry VIII . In a George VI, Memorial Chapel our Queen, Elizabeth II is buried alongside her husband, Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and her parents.
- St George’s chapel is the spiritual home of the Order of the Garter, the highest and oldest order of chivalry in the country. We will marvel at the beautifully carved stalls which are 500 years old.
